James Valley Telecommunications provides a wide variety of products and services for more than 10,000 business and residential customers in northeastern South Dakota. Incorporated in 1951 the company is based in Groton, South Dakota.  What began as simply a telephone company has grown into a comprehensive telecommunications provider of traditional landline, cell phone, video and Internet services.

As one can imagine, with so many customers, products and services, a document nightmare emerged and was growing.   “Yes, the paperwork just multiplies - our customer files, as well as our corporate records, just kept multiplying at a steady pace,” said Nancy Larsen, Office Manager for James Valley.

James Valley serves customers in approximately a 2,400 square mile area with offices in multiple locations.  “The locations of our offices found us with a daily courier to get this paperwork back and forth.  With the ScanFile® system we have it all available at the touch of your finger.  We can very easily share documents with many employees at one time,” said Larsen.
